WHY A LOFT CONVERSION?

Loft Conversions are a great opportunity to increase the amount of available space in your home, without having to go through the costly and stressful process of moving home.

Whether you want an extra bedroom, bathroom or games room, the possibilities are endless. A loft conversion with Introspec will not only give you the extra space you need, but also add value to your property, often covering or even surpassing the cost of the job itself!

Here at Introspec, we understand that the home is at the centre of our lives. That’s why our skilled team with over 100 years combined experience will always endeavour to cause as little disruption as possible and leave your home clean and tidy at the end of each working day.

WHAT TYPE OF LOFT CONVERSION?

Okay, so you’re interested in getting a loft conversion for your home. The next step is to decide what type of loft conversion best suits you and your home.

See below some examples of the types of loft conversion we offer.

For help in understanding which type of loft conversion is most suitable, please contact us.

  • DORMER

Our most popular choice, a dormer loft conversion extends the roofline out and down so that to the interior you will now have vertical walls and flat ceilings. A dormer is usually added to the rear of the property with the option to add Velux windows to the front roof slope.

  • VELUX

A Velux conversion is our most cost effective loft conversion. Also known as a sky/rooflight conversion, this type of conversion is where we make use of the existing loft space by simply adding Velux skylights and flooring. No planning permission requirements make this a quick and easy option.

  • HIP TO GABLE

A hip to gable loft conversion is most suitable for properties with ‘hip’ roofs. This is where we build up the gable wall of your property and extend the existing roof line until your new loft area extends the full width of your home and the gable wall runs vertically straight down with the side of your house.

WHAT TO DO NEXT?

DRAWINGS

In most cases other than with a Velux conversion, you will need drawings before works can begin. You may already have your plans but if not, Introspec Construction are happy to guide you through the process.

In order to obtain building regulations, you will first need drawings. You are welcome to obtain these yourself or we can put you in touch with our specialist architect.

Once drawings are complete and approved, its time to decide your wish list.

WISH LIST

So you have the final size and design of your loft conversion confirmed, now it’s time for the fun part.

With our help, now is the time to decide on the specifications that will integrate your new space into your home. From light fittings to bathroom options, this is your opportunity to turn your vision to reality and for us to understand what it is you truly want from your project.
